The controversy around the importance
of the discovery of planet Gnewt rages on. Some say planet Gnewt is the
Promised Land, others that it is a bad dream certainly bound to end someday!
Then there are those who claim that the existence
of such a world is impossible, that it is a figment of some mad scientist's
imagination.
Well, fortunately pictures don't lie. This one,
which conclusively proves the existence of planet Gnewt, was taken by Professa
Blip Fidel using a Wwilop turgascope with a 5.7 Zimle lens fitted with
an Oogie booster. The image has been computer enhanced, of course, but
just enough to facilitate closer study of the turbulent
follicular activity over
the main land masses.
Sensor readings taken with the Mamamiasmatron
show very high negatives, with no indication that the sparse atmosphere
surrounding the orb could sustain life as we know it. Leading experts posit
that life beneath the surface might be possible, but would be very limited
due to lack of sunlight and fresh air. Space travelers are urged to pass
by and continue on to the Floogmortin Belt, home of the planet LLLLiberalia,
which travel agents point out, may not be very large but does offer the
more pleasant and hospitable environment generally favored by most warm-blooded
species.
Planet Gnewt is now available as an attractive
background pattern (all the better to promulgate
Gnewtness).
