..Welcome to Nocturnia

...............Maddie Nova on tv.

.....A weekly public access tv series, Welcome to Nocturnia, presented the on-screen creation of indescribable pencil portraits (Actually, if you look at the two here on this page you can describe them yourself.) together with classy music, found sound, and assorted words. Also featured, were reports from the All News Dream, which presented issues of concern to the people of Nocturnia and Urth, and anyone else tuning in. Maddie Nova, the Lassie Lady (seen above), appeared regularly to bring viewers updates and synopsis of popular tv shows and also, when coaxed, to sing the odd song.

Guido Gavott, commenpotator......Commentator Guido Gavott, in his often comprehensible prose, brought insights to many a weighty subject. His illucidations on hairy Mark (Fur-man) Furrman's credibility was a welcomed fodib to the, then current, gobbledigook filling the media. Gavott was the first to point out that Furrmann worked under Lt. Columbo at the LAPD for many years, and that it was standard procedure there to move crime scene evidence to the home or office of a suspect (usually in shopping bags supplied by Lt. Columbo's wife) so as to shake the suspect up enough to get an on-camera confession which, not coincidently, saved the taxpayer a bundle and made for a much more satisfying conclusion than the courtroom messes we are left with these days.

.....For those needing divine guidance concerning the issue of capital punishment, All News Dream anchor Garr The conducted a number of interviews with Govenor Pat Ayaki, who described the repeated appearances made to him by Jesus Christ. Often showing up in the Billard Room of the Govenor's Mansion, Jesus had no end of ideas on how to deal with this controversial issue, which is so close to the Govenor's heart.

.....Welcome to Nocturnia also presented occasional interviews and reports concerning the arts and human rights. One program focused on a celebration of the memory of Chiune Sugihara, the Japanese consul in 1940 Lithuania, who saved thousands of jews from the Nazis. Another show featured Esther Fordham, a black woman born in Germany, who witnessed the rise of the Third Reich and survived the Allied bombing of her city, Hamburg.

.....Though bounced from the air (after a two-year run) to make way for the broader appeal of programs like the Drag Queen Liberation bi-monthly half hour, WTN could be made available to the discerning offline viewer (for a modest fee) on video tape if there is interest. Email Email for details.
